This week I picked up Domino: Quick Fixes, a special edition of the now defunct, but available digitally, decorating magazine.
I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Filled the hope that Domino was somehow miraculously resurrected I flipped anxiously through the pages hoping a subscription card would fall out but no dice. Although they are planning another edition in Autumn.
It really started to make me miss Blueprint magazine. Launched by Martha Stewart in the same year as Domino in 2006, Blueprint magazine offered amazing DIY, decorating & life tips geared toward the enterprising chicks in their 20's & 30's. Despite being the most awesome magazine in the world Blueprint folded after only 8 issues. I tried to keep them as long as I could but years of moving & messiness claimed my old Blueprints... until today!
While surfing the web I discoved an offer via the blog The Hidden Library. Call this number 1-877-747-1050 (which is customer service for TIME) and you can order all 8 back issues of Blueprint for... wait for it... $20 including shipping!
The blog post was over 3 years old but I took a shot & they still have tons of Blueprints for sale & still $ 20 including shipping. I ordered mine & I'll keep you posted.
UPDATE: 07/19/2012
After a week of waiting and secretly wondering if maybe giving my credit card number to a stranger over the phone and bragging about it on the internet was a bad idea, my Blueprint Magazines arrived!! All eight pristine editions, whom while being 6-8 years old are just as insightful and current as if they appeared on a newsstand today... and they're all mine!
That's All for Now.
Thanks for tuning in.
Until Next Time...
Keep Adding Bliss!
