Have you ever been dying to go through someone's handbag? I know I have; especially those giant ones! What's in there, anyway? They say you can tell alot by what someone chooses keep with them at all times. Most women regard the purse as a private inner sanctum
Well, I 've decided to give you a peek into one of my bags to see what I lug around on a daily basis that makes living with ADHD a little less stressful.
Shall we?...
ü My Iphone: One of the things I can't leave the house without, though I manage to it from time to time with disastrous results $199 + http://www.apple.com/iphone/
ü Iphone Charger: For folks like me who forget to charge their phone at night and use it all day long to play games, get directions, google random things, check email, listen to music and occasionally make a call. USB cable $19 USB Power Adapter $29 http://store.apple.com/us
ü Mini Totes Umbrella: Possible the world's smallest umbrella but surprisingly durable. It fits into every bag and has a lifetime warranty. I very rarely watch the weather and usually forget that it's in my bag, until it's raining! $24 www.totes-isotoner.com
ü Clean Well all-natural hand sanitizer: I'm not a fan of hand sanitizer but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. This one is alcohol and scary chemical free and smells fabulous! $3 www.cleanwelltoday.com
ü Butterfly Pill Box: A great place to keep a stash of ADHD meds or multivitamins for the rare occasion when I forget to take them before I leave the house. (wink, wink) $8 www.thepurplestore.com
ü Oversized Sunglasses: These make every face look great! I have very sensitive eyes so I really need these on especially sunny day and while driving but these babies also come in handy after cinema tearjerkers and on days when you forgot to wear make up. Because of my penchant for losing and breaking sunglasses I opt for New York street vendor variety that are just as strong and stylish as the designer shades, and between you and me... made in the same factories in China! $10-15 (or less if you haggle) 125th Street, Canal Street, St. Marks Place or any where a guy can set up and break down a folding table in less than 10 minutes.
ü M.A.C. Dazzleglass Lip gloss in Girls Delight: A beautiful nude shimmery lip makes a great impact and is a lot lower maintenance than full lip color, which require a pencil, lipstick, gloss and has to be touched up frequently. $18 www.maccosmetics.com
ü Invisalign(tm) case: I'm using my upcoming nuptuals as a the perfect excuse to correct my smile at the ripe old age of (redacted). Invisalign are pricey, but they work fast and are nearly invisible. If you been thinking about it, go for a free consultation and ask about a no interest payment plan to fit your budget. $1500-$10000 www.invisalign.com
ü The Dental Care on-the-go trio: toothgel, toothbrush & dental floss. I wish I could say that I use them more often than I actually do but they do come in handy. Toothgel, toxin free & comes in lots of yummy flavors: $5-$9 www.healing-scents.com Cylinder pump bottle: $4 www.muji.us/ Travel Tootbrush and Dental Floss: $1-$3 any drug store or pharmacy

ü Satin Jewelry Pouch filled with condiments: Yep, I'm one of those people. I try to avoid refined or artificial sugar when I can, so I carry around Raw Sugar and Stevia Packets. $12-$30 www.amazon.com or you could just swipe a couple from Starbucks. And restaurants always run out of strawberry jelly first and I can't eat my toast or biscuits with out it. No judgments! $15-$40 www.amazon.com
ü Silk Scarf: A chic addition to any ensemble. I prefer to tie them around the handles of my purses. In addition to being fashionable they come in handy for saving coifs from the rain, covering shirt stains, hiding hickies, making an impromtu belt & more. $3-$950. There are great places to find silk scarves on line, but vintage shops are my hunting ground of choice.
ü Notepad & Calculator Portfolio: There's an old English proverb that states "A dull pencil is better than the sharpest memory." I'm always getting hit with flashes of ideas for stories, blog posts, new projects and if I don't write them down or record them, they disappear, not mention remembering what I'm supposed to buy at the grocery store. I found this gem at The Hobby Lobby and it was the best 3 bucks I've ever spent! $3 www.hobbylobby.com
ü My keys & business cards: I saved these for last because these are usually the last things to make it into my purse as it takes me an average of 10 minutes to find them every morning. I would like to call your attention to the long white plastic keychain. They contain my business card from a company called Moo. They are half the size of regular business cards, I always get lots of compliments on them and thanks to the handy keychain carrier I never forget them! Minicards: $14 for 100 cards Holder: $5 www.moo.com
ü Mimobot Flash Drive: Super cute, holds a lot of information and is a great way to take your work on the go. $25-$80 www.mimoco.com

P.S. If any one is interested in a satin pouch, I have tons of them left over from my good ol' jewelry company days. I would also be willing to ship street vendor sunglass to anyone interested.
