If you have ADD or AD/HD and own a vehicle, you must have this!
Let me know if this sounds familiar:
Your running out of your house top speed, with no minutes to spare on your way to work/school/dinner.
This time you won't be late for once!
No more smug looks or punctuality jokes made at your expense.
That ends today, you think as you fling open the door your car, leap into the driver's seat, jam your key into the ignition and flick your wrist with the power of Zeus, already wondering how many minutes you can shave off of your commute if you hit the freeway instead of using the backroads, when you hear it: the all too dreaded click.
You quickly glance at your gearshift, because the last time this happened you realized you turned off you car in the drive position, but alas no luck. Your battery is dead and the cherry on anger sundae, that's quickly forming in your head, is that you realize you never turned off the dome light when you finished unloading the groceries last night.
So, again you will show up obscenely late, again it will be all your fault and again when you regale your friends/students/boss with your fantastic tale about how you were almost on time this time, no one will care or believe you; because you're always late.
I can co
unt on two hands the number of times this has happened to me in past year! After the third time (and a lot of procrastinating) I got my self a car battery charger. These little miracles range in price from $ 25.00 to $ 200.00 (mine was about $ 80.00) and have saved me on many occasion! Some come with lights, radio, outlets and tire inflators depending on how fancy you want to get, but the magic is turning what is usually a 20 minutes to an hour ordeal into a 3 minute inconvenience.
Just don't forget to keep it charged!
